Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland

Since 1990 the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany has been a fundamental part of German motorsports and was continuously developed and improved during its 22 years of existence. The Porsche Carrera Cup Germany presents itself as a professional and valuable racing series, which enjoys high acceptance not only among insiders.
The races are held within the framework-programme of the DTM (German Touring-Car Masters). Venues of the fastest international one-make-cup are race tracks with a long tradition such as the Hockenheimring, the Nürburgring or the Norisring, which is situated in the heart of Nuremberg. The special feature of the championship: In total there are three classes in which the drivers compete against each other. Beside the A-class, which is designed for professional drivers, amateur drivers race in the so-called “B-class”.
The Porsche Carrera Cup Germany is known as a stepping stone into higher racing categories for young and ambitious drivers. For this reason a “rookie-classification” is being offered to newcomers. The Porsche AG gives away more than half a million euros of prize money for all classes together.
Konrad Motorsport can look back on numerous successes in the competitive series. Especially the 2011 season will stay in the minds of the squad from Verl for a long time. In an exciting fight for the title the Brit Nick Tandy came out on top against his fellow countryman Sean Edwards and claimed the overall victory for Konrad Motorsport.
